Baseball Recap: Cathedral Fighting Irish vs. University Trailblazers
Cathedral proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the University Trailblazers. The Fighting Irish haven't had any issues with the Trailblazers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Connor Christiansen made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bo Blondi, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. Eli Sinsabaugh also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Cathedral's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.
