Season Preview:
From a talent perspective, this Huntington Prep squad rivals Montverde Academy and IMG Academy for the deepest and most complete rotation in high school basketball.

The biggest question for this group is how will all their talent mesh together on a team that has struggled to return to elite status over the past few seasons.

The Irish return their two leading scorers from last season, Brakefield and Hoggard, along with other key players Loveday and Blackwell, who should see increased minutes. Newcomers Cottrell and Powell add strong options to the frontcourt.

Huntington Prep plays a challenging schedule that includes showdowns with No. 2 IMG Academy, No. 4 Prolific Prep, No. 7 Patrick School, No. 13 Roselle Catholic and No. 21 Sunrise Christian Academy.

Look for this group to be determined to make a return trip to GEICO Nationals after a five-year absence from the prestigious event.
