Basketball Game Preview: Post Antelopes vs. New Home Leopards

Post is 0-8 against New Home since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Post Antelopes will face off against the New Home Leopards at 6:15 p.m.

Post is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Floydada 55-28. While losing is never fun, the Antelopes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1390th, while the Whirlwinds are ranked 621st).

Meanwhile, New Home blew past Ralls, posting a 72-15 victory. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

New Home's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.3 points per game. As for Post, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-21.

Post was taken down by New Home 80-13 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Post avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
