Football Recap: Westwood Panthers vs. Martin County Tigers
Westwood lost against Martin County back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Westwood Panthers came up short against the Martin County Tigers, falling 29-6.
Martin County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Delaney Gribben out in front who picked up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Gribben didn't just play on offense: she also picked up a sack and made six total tackles. Calista Scornavacca was another key signal caller, throwing for 178 yards and three touchdowns while completing 88.6% of her passes.
Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Martin County, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
