Basketball Game Preview: Vandalia Christian Vikings vs. Tabernacle Christian Conquerors

The Vandalia Christian Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Tabernacle Christian Conquerors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Vandalia Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Tabernacle Christian likes a good challenge.

Vandalia Christian will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Gospel Light Christian, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Vikings came out on top against Gospel Light Christian by a score of 62-53 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Tabernacle Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past Liberty Christian with a 43-37 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Conquerors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Tabernacle Christian's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Vandalia Christian, their record is now 2-3.

Vandalia Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Tabernacle Christian in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 60-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
