Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Island Comes Up Short

Hilton Head Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinal Newman Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seahawks of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

Hilton Head Island's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Cardinal Newman, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 35-7.

Hilton Head Island wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Porter-Gaud on the 10th. As for Cardinal Newman, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Greenville on the 10th.
