Football Recap: Aspen Skiers vs. Summit Tigers

Aspen lost against Summit back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aspen Skiers took a 22-6 bruising from the Summit Tigers. The Skiers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calvin Delaney threw for 73 yards and a touchdown. Henry Hurd was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards. On the ground, Dylan Mika rushed for 39 yards.

Aspen now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Summit, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-2 record.

Aspen will venture away from home to square off against Kent Denver at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Aspen focused on turnovers this week as team gave up five on Friday. As for Summit, they will take on Steamboat Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Steamboat Springs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Summit surely won't give up without a fight.
