Softball Recap: Josslynn Grimsley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tampa Catholic over Calvary Christian

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tampa Catholic can now relate to. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tampa Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josslynn Grimsley, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Grimsley's first of the season.

Tampa Catholic dropped their record down to 11-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Calvary Christian, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-1.

Tampa Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvary Christian, they will challenge Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
