Archbishop Mitty is a perfect 10-0 against Valley Christian since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Monarchs will venture away from home to face off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Archbishop Mitty is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Tuesday, Archbishop Mitty made easy work of Presentation and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Archbishop Mitty took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-12.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Valley Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Archbishop Riordan 3-0 on Thursday.

One reason for the win was Valley Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-17.

Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Archbishop Mitty, their win bumped their record up to 26-3.

Everything went Archbishop Mitty's way against Valley Christian when the teams last played back in September, as Archbishop Mitty made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
