Soccer Game Preview: Northwest vs. Keller

Northwest hasn't had much luck against Keller recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Texans will challenge the Indians at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Northwest will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Timber Creek, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Texans blew past the Falcons 6-1 on Tuesday. That five-goal margin sets a new team best for Northwest this season.

Meanwhile, Keller got the win against V.R. Eaton on Tuesday by a conclusive 6-1. Keller have beaten V.R. Eaton the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest V.R. Eaton has come to flipping the script.

Northwest's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6-1 and their overall record up to 3-7-2. As for Keller, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-1.

Northwest suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Keller in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Texans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
