Sequoyah came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lassiter Trojans by a score of 74-65.

Despite the loss, Lassiter still got an impressive performance from Braeden Lucas, who went 7 for 10 en route to 23 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Lucas a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Liston, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points.

Sequoyah is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Lassiter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Sequoyah has already played their next contest, a 71-63 victory against Sprayberry on the 14th. As for Lassiter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-45 defeat against Woodstock on the 14th.
