After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chiles, Florida State University High School was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Seminoles have won four contests by more than 13 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Preslee Donaldson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Donaldson was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ansley Hurst, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season. Layna Photo was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
