On Tuesday Kyndleigh Carter pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The performance marked the fewest earned runs Carter has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fifth in a row with less than two hits. For the year, she has an ERA of 3.27 over 25.7 innings pitched.

Even though Carter couldn't lead West Harrison over Pascagoula, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes are 6-1 against the Panthers going back to March of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
