Softball Recap: Trinity Prep Comes Up Short

Lyman hit Trinity Prep with a five-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Saints took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row dating back to last season.

Trinity Prep got a big performance out of Olivia Agnew, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Kozma, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Trinity Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lyman, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Trinity Prep will head out to square off against The Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 14.2 runs per game this season. As for Lyman, they are taking a road trip to take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
