Football Recap: Hebron Christian Comes Up Short

Hebron Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Humphreys Academy Rebels 60-6. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Rebels are ranked first).

Hebron Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Humphreys Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hebron Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The Eagles will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Humphreys Academy, they will square off against Briarfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Humphreys Academy will need to watch out since Briarfield Academy has now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
