Soccer Recap: Dixon vs. Byron
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mendota, Dixon was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Byron Tigers a 1-0 shutout. Jack Redell had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Dukes & Duchesses.
Dixon's win bumped their record up to 8-3-2. As for Byron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Dixon will venture away from home to square off against Morris at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Byron, their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Pecatonica at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
