Volleyball Recap: Norfolk Christian Takes a Loss

The Norfolk Christian Ambassadors didn't have quite enough to beat the North Cross Raiders on Friday and fell 3-2. The Ambassadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Norfolk Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 23-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-10.

North Cross found their leader in sophomore Faith Johnson, who had 17 digs. Olivia Steidle also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Norfolk Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for North Cross, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Norfolk Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Camden County on the 13th. As for North Cross, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on the 13th.
