Thayer had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Marionville Comets with a sharp 42-21 win on Friday. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 34-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Thayer and bumps their season record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Marionville, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Thayer will face off against Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Cardinals' defense has only allowed 9.5 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. Marionville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
