Basketball Recap: Ravenscroft Ravens vs. St. Mary's Saints

The Ravenscroft Ravens can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. Everything went their way against St. Mary as Ravenscroft made off with a 52-27 victory. The win was familiar territory for Ravenscroft who now have five in a row.

Ravenscroft's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Cronin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Cronin hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Zoe Adams, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, St. Mary's had strong showings from Mary Marshall Rankin, who scored 11 points, and Abby Sottini, who scored ten points.

Ravenscroft's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. As for St. Mary's, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravenscroft will take on the Knights at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Raleigh Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for St. Mary's, they and the Cavaliers will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
