Top-ranked Mater Dei goes on 33-3 run in second half to blitz St. John's (Washington D.C.), No. 3 De La Salle beats St. Mary's (Stockton) 55-17, No. 6 Narbonne records shutout.

No. 17 Upland faces No. 5 Mission Viejo while No. 1 Mater Dei travels east to tackle D.C. power St. John's.

Kyle Bandyy scored on a 2-yard run in the final minute of the first half for the last points of the game to lift No. 21 Servite (Anaheim) to a 16-13 win at No. 19 Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) in the biggest and most competitive all-California game of a busy Friday night.

Noah Fifita fired a 16-yard pass to Zedakiah Centers for a 16-yard touchdowns pass for Servite, which also got a short field goal to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Both defenses took over during a scoreless second half. Notre Dame dropped its first game of the season.

Bryce Young threw for 417 yards and five touchdowns and No. 1 Mater Dei outscored host St. John's (Washington D.C.) 33-3 in the second half to pull off a 53-24 victory. See story

Seventh-ranked Cathedral Catholic (San Diego) and No. 8 Folsom combined to score 112 points while shutting out two over-matched foes.

Fifth-ranked and host Mission Viejo (6-0) had little trouble with No. 17 Upland in a surprising lopsided win.
