Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage lost against Glass last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Heritage Pioneers were outmatched by the Glass Hilltoppers and fell 63-24. The contest marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tailor Coles, who posted ten points and eight boards. Coles is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Calyce Garvin, who put up five points along with five boards and three steals.

Heritage's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Glass, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-22 defeat against Rustburg on the 17th. As for Glass, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-42 win against Jefferson Forest on the 15th.
