Soccer Game Preview: Gordon Central vs. Dade County

The Gordon Central Warriors will head out to take on the Dade County Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gordon Central has given up an average of 5.1 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gordon Central is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals last Friday, they were much more limited against Fannin County on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rebels, falling 6-1. Gordon Central were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Melanie Chiapas, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Dade County hadn't done well against Fannin County recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Dade County had just enough and edged out Fannin County 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Dade County sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Gordon Central's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-6. As for Dade County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
