While Century's win against Burley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Diamondbacks won by a run and slipped past the Bobcats 3-2. The Diamondbacks haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ally Evans spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Century's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Castorena, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Century's record now sits at 4-5. As for Burley, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bobcats beat Century by a score of 14-1 later that day.
