Basketball Recap: Woodside Makes It 24 in a Row at Home

It's playoff time, and Woodside had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 39-35 victory over the Nansemond River Warriors on Thursday. The 39-point effort marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Woodside pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.2 points over those games. As for Nansemond River, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8.

Coming up, Woodside will welcome Maury at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Maury will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Woodside surely won't give up without a fight. Nansemond River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
