Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ava Payne and Grace Krebsbach Lead Southland to Victory

Southland's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Southland was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-14.

Southland was led to victory by Grace Krebsbach and Ava Payne. Krebsbach had three digs and three aces, while Payne had ten digs and one assist. Payne is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good servers: Southland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenville-Emmons only served five.

Southland's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Glenville-Emmons, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Southland has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Rushford-Peterson on the 25th. As for Glenville-Emmons, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Grand Meadow on the 25th.
