Softball Recap: Oakfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Coleman on Saturday, Oakfield came back down to earth. The Oaks came up short against the Union Grove Broncos on Saturday, falling 17-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Oaks have suffered since May 17, 2025.

Oakfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Ramminger, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Oakfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Union Grove, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakfield will welcome Lourdes Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Grove, they will challenge Badger at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Broncos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Badgers have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
