After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lathrop, Pacheco was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Central Valley Hawks by a score of 3-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Central Valley scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20.

Gracie De La Cruz paced Pacheco's offense, picking up nine kills. De La Cruz got some help from Ava Soberanes and her 11 assists. Soberanes also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Gissel Salinas, each putting up three.

Pacheco's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Central Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
