Baseball Recap: Waltham Takes a Loss

After flying high against Concord-Carlisle on Saturday, Waltham came back down to earth. The Hawks fell just short of the Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falcons by a score of 6-5 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 two weeks ago.

Waltham saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Egirous, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Eric Fiorentino, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Waltham's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, they pushed their record up to 10-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waltham will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, they will take on Weston at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
