Football Recap: Jupiter Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Jupiter had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Rachael Abbass did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Jupiter Warriors blew past the Centennial Eagles 21-0 which was due in part to Abbass, who threw for 140 yards and three touchdowns. What's more, she racked up 105.5 passer rating, the most she's had over her last eight matchups.

Jupiter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tessa Grimm and Katelyn Sparapani.

Jupiter's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Centennial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jupiter will take on Oxbridge Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oxbridge Academy's defense has only allowed 2.7 points per game this season, so Jupiter's offense will have their work cut out for them. After each having a week off, Centennial and Lincoln Park Academy will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:00 p.m. on March 26th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Centennial 11.2, Lincoln Park Academy 12.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
