Baseball Recap: Kings Mountain Finds Home Field Redemption Against Ashbrook

There's no place like home for Kings Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Ashbrook Greenwave on Tuesday as the Kings Mountain Mountaineers made off with a 12-2 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mountaineers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Kings Mountain got a great performance from Gavyn Manion as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Lyric Phonephet was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those runs were his first of the season. Carter Roberts was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
