Soccer Recap: University Prep Comes Up Short

University Prep was the 4-2 winner over Gridley when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The University Prep Panthers came up short against the Gridley Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 796th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 184th).

This is the second loss in a row for University Prep and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Gridley, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

University Prep has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Enterprise on the 10th. As for Gridley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Pierce on the 9th.
