Basketball Game Preview: Gaston Bulldogs vs. Cedar Bluff Tigers

The Gaston Bulldogs will face off against the Cedar Bluff Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gaston saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 72-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sardis. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cedar Bluff fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Lincoln by a score of 54-46 on Tuesday.

Cedar Bluff found their leader in sophomore Zach Jones, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Bishop, who posted four points and seven blocks.

Cedar Bluff's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Gaston, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Gaston didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Cedar Bluff in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory. Will Gaston repeat their success, or does Cedar Bluff have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
