Lowell is 9-1 against Lawrence since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Red Raiders will be playing at home against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lowell has three straight victories, Lawrence has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lowell took a 38-point defeat the last time they faced off against Billerica Memorial, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Raiders had just enough and edged out the Indians 22-20.

Meanwhile, Lawrence fell victim to Methuen and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Rangers and fell 68-0. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Rangers are ranked sixth).

Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lowell, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Lowell came up short against Lawrence in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 28-23. Can the Red Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
