Viera has gone a perfect 6-0 against Cocoa Beach recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. Viera is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While Viera's win against Heritage wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Panthers 9-7.

The team relied heavily on Zak Al-Arashi, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Trey Slavik was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Cocoa Beach came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Pirates.
Jack Meckel made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Kristian Wolfe was incredible, going 2-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Anthony Ceruti, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.
Cocoa Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palm Bay only managed eight hits.
Viera's record now sits at 15-8. As for Cocoa Beach, their record is now 13-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Viera has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cocoa Beach struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Viera came out on top in a nail-biter against Cocoa Beach in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
