Avery Johnson was Kit Carson's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Addyson Ramirez held things down on the boards with ten rebounds. Shay Rady took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Meanwhile, Genoa-Hugo/Karval took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-14 win over Deer Trail. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Genoa-Hugo/Karval's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Kit Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-10.

Kit Carson strolled past Genoa-Hugo/Karval in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 43-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kit Carson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
