Baseball Recap: Rich Township Falls Short of Blue Island Eisenhower in the Playoffs

Rich Township and Blue Island Eisenhower squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Rich Township had to settle for second. They fell 8-3 to the Cardinals. The Raptors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Rich Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maurice Pinkney, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Rich Township's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-22.

As of now, neither Rich Township nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
