Volleyball Game Preview: Vail Christian Saints vs. D'Evelyn Jaguars

Vail Christian hasn't had much luck against D'Evelyn recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Vail Christian will look to defend their home court against D'Evelyn at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Vail Christian beat Hinkley 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17.

Vail Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Justin Nguyen, who had ten digs and four aces, and JT Tena, who had nine digs. Those four aces gave Nguyen a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Vail Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hinkley only served one ace.

Meanwhile, D'Evelyn had already won six in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Raiders.

While D'Evelyn won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-19, 25-23.
