Roosevelt entered their tilt with Rondout Valley on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ganders. The Presidents have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ganders, too.

Roosevelt's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rondout Valley to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-4.

Roosevelt can attribute much of their success to Charley Sanford, who had four digs and four aces.

Sanford wasn't the only good servers: Roosevelt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matchups.

Roosevelt's record now sits at 14-4-1. As for Rondout Valley, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roosevelt is set to challenge their familiar foe New Paltz at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rondout Valley will take on rival Saugerties at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
