Football Game Preview: Timberland Wolves vs. Barnwell Warhorses

Timberland is 0-3 against Barnwell since November of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Wolves will square off against the Warhorses at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Timberland will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Woodland on Friday. The Wolves never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 31-0 win. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Among those leading the charge was Antaun Faison Jr, who rushed for 83 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Another reason for the win was Timberland's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. JAVION JENKINS refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Barnwell). They blew past Whale Branch, posting a 43-12 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Timberland's record now sits at 8-2. As for Barnwell, their record is now 4-6.
