Basketball Game Preview: Pennington Tigers vs. Cleveland Panthers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pennington Tigers duke it out with the Cleveland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday... Pennington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Cleveland likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Pennington humbled Cullman Christian with a 79-23 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cleveland had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 63-53 win over Brindlee Mountain on Friday.

Pennington has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8-1 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.7 points. As for Cleveland, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12-1.

Everything went Pennington's way against Cleveland in their previous meeting last Saturday, as Pennington made off with a 78-56 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pennington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
