Volleyball Game Preview: Britton-Hecla Braves vs. Redfield Pheasants

After both having extra time off, the Britton-Hecla Braves and the Redfield Pheasants will shake off the rust and duke it out at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Britton-Hecla won the last time they faced Wilmot and Ava Teveldal did her part to make sure it happened again. The Braves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolves on Tuesday with plenty of help from Teveldal, who had 11 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Britton-Hecla walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.

Redfield not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Tiospa Zina as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Redfield took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-2, 25-12.

Britton-Hecla now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Redfield, their win ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-16.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Britton-Hecla has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Redfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Britton-Hecla came up short against Redfield when the teams last played back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
