Baseball Recap: Riverhead Comes Up Short

Riverhead managed to slip by Patchogue-Medford the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Waves came up short against the Raiders on Thursday, falling 21-1. The Blue Waves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Riverhead's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Patchogue-Medford, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Raiders beat Riverhead by a score of 17-1 on Friday.
