Basketball Recap: Gladwin Takes a Loss

Gladwin lost against Beaverton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gladwin Flying G's took a blow against the Beaverton Beavers, falling 66-27. While losing is never fun, the Flying G's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Beavers are ranked 219th).

Gladwin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Beaverton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Gladwin will face off against Standish-Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaverton, they will take on Farwell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Farwell: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Beaverton has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
