Baseball Recap: Reeds Spring Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Reeds Spring's offense. They came up short against the Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Reeds Spring dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Springfield Catholic, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Reeds Spring will challenge East Newton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue Valley North at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
