Baseball Recap: Perkiomen Valley Takes a Loss

The Perkiomen Valley Vikings came up short against the Pennridge Rams on Friday and fell 13-10. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Keenan put in work no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Keenan was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

In other batting news, John Ott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Liam McNeill, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Perkiomen Valley lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Perkiomen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pennridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Perkiomen Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Bristol at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pennridge, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Souderton at 4:00 p.m. on the 31st.
