Basketball Recap: Atlantic City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kingsway last Friday, Atlantic City came back down to earth. The Atlantic City Vikings took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Absegami Braves on Monday. The Vikings have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Atlantic City lost, don't look at Taison Parker. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Parker has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Marigliano, who earned nine points.

Atlantic City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Absegami, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Atlantic City has already played their next game, a 50-33 loss against Holy Spirit on the 5th. As for Absegami, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 45-33 defeat against Our Lady of Mercy Academy on the 5th.
