Basketball Game Preview: Malcolm Clippers vs. Plattsmouth Blue Devils

Malcolm is 6-0 against Plattsmouth since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Malcolm Clippers will be taking part in a tournament against the Plattsmouth Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Malcolm is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They fell 69-60 to Glenwood.

Carson Frank put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 17 points. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Mcgill, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Plattsmouth also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Syracuse by a score of 68-55.

Malcolm will need focus on slowing down Traceson Skalberg, one of several Plattsmouth players who made an impact when they last played. He went 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Skalberg a new career-high. Derek Nanke was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.

Plattsmouth now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Malcolm, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Malcolm didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Plattsmouth in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory. Does Malcolm have another victory up their sleeve, or will Plattsmouth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
