Volleyball Recap: Wasco Takes a Loss

Wasco was the 3-2 winner over Kennedy when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Wasco sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-13.

Wasco has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Kennedy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7-2.

Wasco and Kennedy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Tigers will take on Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (988 vs. 463). Meanwhile, Kennedy (ranked 1001st) will meet Kerman (ranked 468th) at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
