The Manchester Valley Mavericks took a 43-26 bruising from the Westminster Owls on Monday. The contest marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Manchester Valley lost, don't look at Emma Penczek. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points along with eight boards and four steals. Penczek is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilah Kresslein, who put up four points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Manchester Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Westminster, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
