Soccer Recap: Arapahoe Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Arapahoe was not quite Smoky Hill's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 1-0. Arapahoe were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Smoky Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The loss snapped Arapahoe's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-4-2 record. As for Smoky Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Arapahoe is set to challenge their familiar foe Cherry Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Smoky Hill will take on rival Eaglecrest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
